How We Research

The short version

DogPawCare.com is a small independent editorial site. Our guides are based on the maker's published specifications, maker and non-Amazon retailer pages and general pet-care guidance. We do not hands-on test products unless a page says so. We are not veterinarians, and nothing on this site is veterinary advice.

Sources we use

• Manufacturer information. Product pages and specifications from the maker: sizes, dimensions and the paw widths each size is made for. Every figure in our spec tables carries a source and the date we last checked it.
• Non-Amazon retailer pages. Used only to cross-check dimensions against the maker. Retailer pages can differ from the maker, and we note where the maker's own pages disagree with each other.
• General pet-care guidance. For general care topics we rely on well-known organisations such as the American Kennel Club (AKC) and the ASPCA, and we direct health questions to your vet.

What we do not do

• We do not claim to have used a product when we have not.
• We do not publish prices, ratings or review scores copied from retailers.
• We do not use Amazon listing content for any fact on this site. An Amazon link is only a link to the product page whose ASIN and product name match the maker's product.
• We do not invent quotes, owner stories or statistics. If we cannot confirm a detail, the page says "Not stated by maker" or tells you to check the listing.
• We do not give medical advice. Where a topic touches on injuries, skin problems or allergies, we say to ask a vet.

How we choose what to write

We write about the questions people have when choosing and using a paw cleaner, mainly size, materials and care. We compare products only on information that is published and verifiable, and we mark everything else as unknown.

We are an Amazon Associates affiliate and may earn a commission from qualifying purchases made through our links, at no extra cost to you. We do not accept paid placements or free products. Commission does not change what we write, but you should know it exists. See the full disclosure.

Corrections policy

If you think something on a page is wrong, email us with the page address and what you believe is incorrect. We will check it against the maker's published information, correct the page if needed and update the "Updated" date. We aim to respond within a few working days. We read opinions about what we should have concluded, but we only change a page when a factual point is shown to be wrong.

Updates

Makers change products and listings. If a maker changes sizes or specifications, we update the pages when we notice, so check the maker's current pages before you buy.
